Pool & Spa/Hot Tub Heaters

Pool HeatersAny pool or spa is more inviting when the water temperature is at a maximum comfort level. You can have perfect water on demand. Propane heaters will get your pool or spa to that perfect temperature much faster than any electrical heater. Not only that, they generally conserve energy for cost efficiency. Dive in with confidence!

Heaters can range in size from as small as 5,000 Btu/hr for a spa or hot tub to 400,000 Btu/hr for a full-size swimming pool. And swimming pool heaters are available in both above-ground and in-ground models.

Patio Heaters

A Propane patio heater can offer soothing warm comfort on cool evenings or chilly mornings by encircling you with 20-feet of radiant heat and bringing the outdoor air temperature between 10 and 30 degrees higher.

Patio heaters are available in sizes just right for you and your family. Most models, including tabletop sizes, offer adjustable temperature controls with features that ensure your safety. Built-in lights in some models allow you extended enjoyment on your patio long after the sun goes down.

CookingHere are Some Very Good Reasons to Cook with Propane Gas:

  • Cooking with gas can be significantly cheaper than cooking with electricity.
  • Propane-fueled ovens and ranges give you more precise control over temperature and heat food more evenly
  • Instant gas flames allow you to cook without waiting for burners to warm up.
  • Propane gas burners also cool quickly
  • Propane makes the stove safer by allowing burners to cool quickly when heat is turned off

Propane appliances are available in all the latest kitchen designs — convection ovens, sealed burners for easy cleaning, griddles and grill tops, even deep fryers.

Laundry Day

Clothes Dryers

  • Propane dryers dry clothes more efficiently and are less expensive to run than electric dryers saving about half the cost of electric dryers (U.S. Department of Energy).
  • Propane dryers heat up to optimum drying temperatures faster, cutting drying time in half.
  • Propane dryers quickly reach the temperatures needed to dry clothes evenly.
  • The moist heat of propane dryers is less likely to burn or discolor fabrics than the heat produced by electric dryers.

High-performance Propane Dryers Offer Energy-saving Features.

  • Moisture sensing controls shut the dryer off when the selected level
    of dryness is reached.
  • Pilotless ignition eliminates the need for an energy-wasting standing
    pilot light.
  • Polymer-coated drum seals ensure heated air will not escape from
    the drum during operation.
  • Multiple temperature-setting controls allow settings to be adjusted according to fabric requirements.
  • Diagonal airflow pattern provides faster, more thorough drying at
    lower temperatures.
  • Timed cycles allow you to operate the dryer for short time intervals.

Water Heaters

Propane Water Heaters Beat Electric Models:

  • Smaller storage space is needed
  • Temperature adjustment is more precise
  • There are more sizes, installation and venting opportunities to choose from
  • Propane water heaters have sturdier components and heating elements that last longer
  • Tankless propane water heaters offer "heat on demand", eliminating the need to keep water heated in a tank, which can add up to 10-20% of the annual cost of heating a home*
  • On demand hot water saves money
  • Propane water heaters are able to meet main water needs, such as household sinks and showers, as well as meeting distant needs as in a greenhouse, workshop or other out building

*The above cost examples assume the following energy rates: Propane $1.2524/gallon / Electric $0.08592/kWh

Propane furnaces heat your air warmer than electric heating systems. Electrical heaters produce heat that is lower than body temperature, which is why air feels cooler coming out of an electrical heater. Propane heaters produce heated air at about 120 degrees F and run for short time segments to lower operating expenses.

Propane quickly warms and comforts you:

  • Heating a home with gas costs half as much on average than heating with electricity (U.S. Department of Energy)
  • Propane-fueled furnaces last 15-20 years — that’s 5-10 years longer than electric heat pumps, on average
  • Propane heating systems can be vented vertically or horizontally, eliminating the need for chimneys
  • New propane gas furnaces are smaller than previous models and provide greater placement flexibility
  • Propane can keep your home warm and comfortable during electrical power outages

According to The Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association, fireplaces and other hearth products are found in 65% of today’s homes.

Here are some good reasons to consider propane over a traditional fireplace:

  • Traditional fireplaces use dampers, which need to be open while a fire is burning. This causes much of your heat to escape. Directly vented gas inserts have a sealed heating chamber that reduces the quantity of heat that is wasted as it is sucked outside.
  • With a propane fireplace, all of your heat radiates to your room. Direct vents use every bit of combustible air from outside your home.
  • Gas inserts will, in many cases, improve the indoor air quality in your home. Wood burning fireplaces have a tendency to increase allergens and particulate, but with the sealed combustion chamber of a propane fireplace 100% of combustion exhaust is expelled – guaranteed.
  • A flick of a wall switch or remote control device easily turns off your propane fireplace without the worry of any leftover embers still burning.
With a propane fireplace, there is no mess of dirty ashes or wood debris to clean.

Choose from a Variety of Hot Options.

  • Propane fireplaces can be installed as freestanding units, wall insets, traditional masonry, or ultra-contemporary designs.
  • They can be equipped with a variety of options, including push-button ignition, remote control, variable heat controls and thermostats.
  • Propane fireplaces can also be equipped with built-in dampers, smoke shelves, and heat circulating features to provide both radiant and convective heat.

Underground & Aboveground Tanks

Daniels Propane is a reliable, affordable, efficient, and safe source of energy for all of your home’s major appliances. Whether you need to heat your furnace, hot-water heater, gas fireplace, clothing dryer or stove-top, more homeowners throughout the country are switching to propane to keep their families warm. Underground propane tanks make propane more attractive than ever.

Daniels Propane can service any home from tanks that are now buried below ground and the only detectable sign a tank is present is a small dome, only inches from ground level, housing regulators, gauges and valves, necessary to allow easy servicing or refilling of the tank. Even a large tank provides all the benefits of propane with hardly any sign that it is there. For more information about Propane Tanks, go to our Propane Tanks page.

Daniels propane tanks are heavy steel and resistant to corrosion because of the special mastic coating applied over the surface. Daniel’s propane tanks are environmentally friendly and maintenance free, usually lasting for 30 to 40 years. There are several different size tanks to fit any family’s needs. While a 500 gallon tank easily fits the needs of an average four bedroom home, there are 1000 –plus tanks available for much larger homes with amenities such as hot tubs or swimming pools and smaller 100 gallon tanks for running appliances.

The average amount of excavation necessary is only approximately 4’ wide X 12’ long X 5’ deep, meaning excavation costs are minimal.

Daniels gas installation experts provide knowledgeable, professional and courteous service from beginning to end of a job to guarantee that your home gets the most energy efficient system ever. Daniels will provide all necessary gas hook-ups and install the tank.

Power outages can happen anytime, anywhere, and they can pose a serious inconvenience and even health risk to you and your family. Standby home generators can provide a reliable source of electricity for your home in the event of a power outage, even when you aren’t there.

Since standby generators run on either propane or natural gas, they can be hooked directly to your existing gas lines. In fact, propane marketers are able to provide homeowners with an underground tank that is protected from the elements so that a constant source of fuel is available. On average, a 250 gallon propane tank fueling a seven kilowatt standby generator would provide enough electricity to power a home for five days, while a 500 gallon underground tank would provide 11 days’ power.
